Not really sure. Never thought about children’s gifts from C Crane. But I’m gonna look now. ;-.
That’s an EASY question. The CC Skywave! I think a child would be fascinated by what they can listen to on a shortwave radio. Well, I thought it fascinating when I was a child.
What gift would be best for a child? One of the many things i have bought from C. Crane that i have no clue how to program!
This is somewhat dependent on the child’s age and your budget, but I would think the CC Trek flashlight would likely have the broad appeal and ruggedness to make it a welcome gift for a child, particularly an older one.
Having grown up in the 1950’s, I was given an RCA AM-SW table radio from my grandfather when I was 6 years old. I cherished that radio, and actually still have it. So, from my standpoint, the C. Crane Skywave radio would be the perfect gift for a child interested in DXing and communications. It features AM, FM, SW, Aircraft and weather. I have one now, and love it. I wish it would have been available when I was a boy.
pillow speaker….. can listen undetected
Depending on the age of the child, but I am considering getting my 10 year old the CC pocket radio.
I think the CC WiFi 2 would be the most inspirational gift for a child… Listening to the plethora of programs available might develop into a lifetime hobby…
Hi c crane !
I think a great gift for a child from c crane merchandise would be the wind up lantern !
Reasons being the importance during power outages for light, the emergency siren to beckon help or distress, the dual usb port for Input & export charging and the fun use for camping, hikes, picnics, fishing, etc… Very Important, practical and something a memory of that product experience can be passed on.
Thank you,
Ps – one of my memories.
I would suggest the Senta Ally to use with a computer or a smartphone for better sound, especially when together with friends.
As a young child, I remember my most favorite gift from my parents was a pocket radio. I know radios have changed completely since then….but I think a child could learn to listen better if they had a radio instead of Ipads/Iphones with their videos….. for their music enjoyment. I loved mine and I know C. Crane has some fine ones that young ones would like.
ear buds
What C. Crane item would be best for a child? Definitely the Pillow Speaker. After bedtime, the two girls often watch a movie on their iPads to fall asleep. I get nervous with connected earphones thus the Pillow Speakers would be exponentially safer.
i would suggest the cc skywave radio.
A wonderful gift for a child from C Crane’s inventory of products would be the “Senta” blue tooth wireless speaker. Children constantly have ear buds in their ears, usually listening to music via their cell phones, Ipods, or other MP3 players, etc. The Senta speaker would allow them to listen to their music but lessen the risk of of doing damage to their hearing.
Cc pocket radio
I got several great-nephews…. and hands down the Magna-Reader. Those boys are at the age that either they are explorers or bug collectors. I keep empty olive and pickle jars around,to keep their new discoveries in.
My grandchild loves the CC LED Spot XB Spotlight. Great when camping!!
An LED flashlight:
Everyone in the family should have a reliable flashlight right next to their beds every night, including the children.
You never know what might happen in the middle of the night, or if the electricity is still working. If there’s a fire when everyone has to run out of the house or a storm when they have to run into the cellar, in either case the power could be off. Without ones own flashlight they’ll be stumbling in the dark when spend is a premium.
CC Skywave AM FM Radio would be perfect for a youngster using the wide band capabilities.
For my child it’s the radio with weather channel so he no’s what kind of weather Santa Claus is dealing with in order to get to his house…
I think it would be the Pocket Radio. I was 10 years old when I received my first transistor radio in 1970. I carried that thing all over the countryside. I have many fond memories of listening to the one station I could receive.
For a child with my interests – – the CCRadio-2E
Any radio is a great gift for a child. Both of my children (ages 8 and 10) received their first radios this year.
I think a gift of any C.Crane radio would be perfect. A kid might learn to spend some time with a device that has no screen.
