Radio is No Turkey

ThanksgivingThis year Thanksgiving is a pretty special time for us here at C. Crane. This is the first time that we will be off on Black Friday so that we can do what we love which is spending time with our families.

Something else that we love is listening to Art Bell. This year on KABC Los Angeles News Talk, Art Bell will be presenting “An Art Bell Out-Of-This-World Thanksgiving Special” on Thursday, November 26th from 9:00am to 9:00pm Pacific Time. “This 12-hour special features programs hand-picked by Bell, who says, ‘We are thrilled to be back on the great 790 KABC, where we had great success. My loyal fans will love that I’m personally hand picking the best 12 hours of out-of-this-world radio.’ “  You can listen to this special Art Bell program by tuning into KABC on 790AM or on tunein.

Football also plays an important role in many homes on Thanksgiving Day. Games play almost all day long featuring coverage of NFL and even College ball. I’ve personally heard people say, “Thanksgiving just wouldn’t be the same without a football game playing throughout the house”. Radio can have even more sports coverage than your television program, with highlights and play-by-plays from local hosts and announcers. Here’s a link to the NFL TV schedule since there are many licensing broadcast rights issues, you’ll want to check with your local radio station to see what’s being broadcast.

You can guarantee there will be at least one radio station that covers the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well; a New York City Tradition since 1942. The announcement of the Santa Claus float at the end is an unofficial sign that Christmas is here. Do you hear the ringing of sleigh bells?

Whether you plan on falling into a food coma, arguing with loved ones about what is better dark or white meat or if you plan on listening to paranormal phenomenon Art Bell, the C. Crane family wishes you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
