Thankful for many things, but as the sun was breaking above the horizon this morning my Sheltie Fawna was happy and bouncing up and down in the fresh snow. She is my gift every day of the year–such joy!
The one thing you want more and more of, but realize you have less and less everyday – family. Wisdom and experience – triumph and turmoil help you savor every moment you have with them… …more flies with honey!

One of my sisters passed away two days before Christmas, and I am grateful that I got to speak to her for awhile on the phone the day before she passed. She and I were separated by long distances for most of our lives, and thanfully she always kept in touch all of those years. It is a consequence of age that we all shall join our ancestors at some point, but I am glad that I was able to share a little time and conversation with her before she left us.
I am most thankful for being able to find a good job this year after being out of work for over three years.
