Our family didn’t do anything “special” in stockings. We always got fruit and nuts.

The biggie out of the stocking was candy, and of that, chocolate. And now that I’m older, the chocolate gets better. My all time favorite stocking stuffer was a CappuccinoCrunch Truffle bar from Seattle Chocolates. It didn’t last very long…

My wife puts Hershey Miniatures in mine. I always look forward to it.

My favorite stocking stuffer every year was…chocolate, usually Hershey’s kisses! M-m-m!
Hmm, I thought I had already posted, but maybe not so. We used to go camping a lot – a lot! – and it was always a thrill to find little things that would be useful on one of our trips (who else would be excited to get tent pegs?). My all-time favourite was the headlamp (flashlight that fit over my head) that could change from red to white and narrow to wide. It worked so much better than tying a bandana around my head and slipping a small torch into the home-made headband.
A whole bunch of lottery scratch off tickets because I won quite a bit of money on them.
a nice little airfix model kit
We used to get GIANT apples and oranges in our stockings and I loved them. Even over the candy and trinkets.
