CC SW Pocket AM/FM/SW & GeoBulb®-3 LED Light Bulb Warm White
I’ve always loved shortwave radio, and I am sad to see how many broadcasters have gone QRT lately. Now I have my ham license and that’s very enjoyable, but there’s something missing when we can’t tune in Europe, listen to an opera from Vienna direct via shortwave…I started when a child, we took road trips from my home in Detroit to my grandparents’ home in Virginia, I’d always want to listen to the car radio to the Detroit stations WWJ & WJR and see how far away into Ohio I could hear them.
I’m a fan of the Solar Observer radio. It’s a perfect fit for my emergency kit. My daughter at college has one in her kit and has found ways to use it.
My favorite station is KTLK in LA. I have dozens of radios, each one has something it does better than the others… There is no perfect radio!
I love c crane radios. The solar Observer is one of my favorites. Alway listened to coast to coast for many years and listen to the commercials about your radios. Anything from c&c is awesome!
CC SW Pocket AM/FM/SW is sweet
Always enjoy your tips and new product information. Favorite stations are WCIC & WBNQ in central IL and WLS in Chicago.
I’m a big fan of all of c crane products but my dream radio would be the CC Radio. The ham bands would come in handy living in south Louisiana and I love listening to any good AM stations I can get my ears on . My favorite stations are 99.5 WRNO ( coast to coast AM while I’m driving to work).89.9 WWNO ( NPR) and WWL the big 870 AM New Orleans. I moved to Tennessee for a short while and would catch news from home on an older CC RADIO. It would pick up WWL 870 New Orleans clear sitting on my back porch in Lynchburg Tn.
Have a number of C Crane products, Two battery chargers, an FM transmitter, two CCRadios a pillow speaker, two Justice antennas, two RYW LXs, a UHF antenna, some other odds and ends. And they’re all functioning! It’s been a long association and very satisfying!
I currently own the CC SWP radio. I’d like a CC Radio but haven’t spent the money yet. I probably use the CC SWP more than any other radio in my house; nice radio, quite portable, and good sound.
The SW Pocket and the solar Observer are “best buys” in my opinion! As a PS: blog on am reception confirmed my long time observations.
My favorite Crane product would have to be the SW Pocket because of its portability as I’m on the go a lot. I have also heard it’s good at picking up AM stations; that’s another plus as I also like to tune in on the AM dial and see what I can pick up there from night to night. I like listening to a wide variety of AM stations like WBBM (780) and WSCR (670) out of Chicago, 850 KOA out of Denver and 700 WLW out of Cincinnati.
I Love KLBJ-AM here in Austin,TX!!!
I have an original CC Radio. Still going strong about 20 years later, except, of course, for the display. Also, a CC SW Pocket Radio and a few Sangeans, from the 110 with ear buds, to one in the shower. Very happy with C. Crane Radio service and products. My dream radio would be a black CCRadio2E, with 2 meter band.
I love C Crane’s products. I have ordered the over the ear headphone speaker a few times and I love it. I wear it all day long at work and it is the most comfortable headphone I have ever had. And it has lasted the longest of any other one that I have had. C Crane makes great, quality products.
My choice for radios would be either the Sangean AM/FM Radio, Player/Recorder or the CC Witness Plus Recorder Player w AM/FM Radio because I listen to Coast to Coast every night, but I tend to fall asleep in the middle of the show, or I’m watching tv and miss part of the show. I used to have a versacorder until it broke and I miss being able to listen to the show the next day.
I just got the Sangean PR-D8 AM/FM Radio-MP3 Player/Recorder for my birthday. I love this radio because I can record what I am listening to with just the push of one button. I don’t have just one favorite radio station.
My favorite radio was one of these, until I lost it! I am a gardener and love listening to talk radio, so it was perfect for me. Then one day I put it on top of the woodpile, came back to grab it a short time later, and it was not there! I sure miss it! If I could have *any* radio, it would be one that got the internet. I used to be a solid KGO listener, that station would be on all day. Then they changed, so I putter about looking for anything worth listening to. It would be fun to listen to Rich Lieberman out of Santa Cruz, but unfortunately, we don’t get that signal.
I like cc cranes outdoor shortwave radios as they are built tough and still compact enough to carry or put in a go-bag.
I’m sitting in my office and looking around- CC Radio Plus for late night listening and occasional AM DX’ing, FM Transmitter 2 to broadcasts Podcasts around our apartment, a couple of Sangean pocket radios that get daily use on dog walks- and that’s in a 10X12 room! We first heard about C. Crane back in the Art Bell days on Coast to Coast and requested a paper catalog – I wish we still had it just to see the continuity of C. Crane’s product design, development, and innovation. Mr. Crane, you’ve got a great business and great people!
Congratulations on 30 years of keeping radio vibrant and alive in our world.
I rely on the CC Radio 2 to keep me informed of inclement weather. Thank you! Congratulations!
I like your products and see a lot of things I want, but usually can’t get at the time. I used to listen to a walkman radio all the time as a teenager. I haven’t had one for years. I would love to have one again. I like country stations and Christian radio. I always am looking for something self charging. Preferably solar. I will get one one of these days.
Remember the Zenith Trans-Oceanic? My dad kept his from when he was a kid. I listened to Europe late at night!
I like the pocket radio. I use it at work, it’s like another tool to me.
I’ve had so many of the great C. Crane products over the years… from the Justice AM Antenna to the latest CCRadio. Lately I’ve been using the solar-powered battery charger. My favorite was always the many versions of the CCRadio. Keep up the great work!
