Today’s blog question: What was the least favorite Christmas present you ever received?
The winners will be selected in a random drawing and will be announced Monday morning. Good Luck!
A fruitcake.
fruitcake
a tie
Yes!!! the tie from H—. Only time I could even put it on was Christmas. one day each year.
Maybe the 410 shotgun my father gave when I was in my early teens. I’m ashamed to say it because he was proud of the gift. The problem was that I had been hunting with his 12 gauge and the 410 was like a peashooter. I sold the 410 years ago and now wish I had kept it.
Ugly Christmas sweater!
Tough question since I don’t think that there was ever a gift that I would say that I least liked, maybe underwear…
A case of motor oil… and I wasn’t even old enough to drive…
I really can’t think of a bad one – then again, no one has ever given me a fruitcake…
Underwear. Worst present to open at a family gathering.
A pullover V-neck sweater that was so wrong in way too many ways to even start listing.
Clothes, every kid hated getting them!
Clothing, the worst gift for a kid at Christmas !!
The least favorite Christmas present I received was a fruitcake.
When I was a child, my sister got the Raggedy Ann and I got the Raggedy Andy, I was really annoyed! Obviously I wanted the girl doll. in retrospect, that was the only man I ever got!!!!!
a sesame street disco album
A re-gifted fruit basket
A belt that was too small for me.
Clothes!
those chocolate covered cherries with the way too sweet filling
A sony ICF S10 MK2 radio which I already had !!
Clothes
A Deo body spray,implying I need one 😦
razor blades
There was a nicely wrapped box under the tree. It looked nice. It had an interesting sound. Everyday I would look at it, turn it upside down and shake it. It really grabbed my attention. I guess I was about 10-years-old. Christmas morning came and it was the first box to be opened, revealing a black belt.
My presents have always been good !
At age 11, my friend came to my house with a huge box all wrapped and inside was another box and so on until I got to a very small wrapped box that was EMPTY.
A wild-stripped shirt.
The toy gun I didn’t get.
Long underwear
Socks
I always got good gifts !
I was 11 yrs old and received levis and a shirt I new that they were my older brothers hammy downs…😢
A big jeweled watch
Snowboots I received when I was 12 years old 😦
An ugly Christmas sweater!
Santa hat!
Elf ears……seriously who gifts that?
A bottle of brandy?! Weird gift.
Reindeer horns…as if I’m a baby or worse still…a pet! 😮
We had a potluck party at the local YWCA and my secret santa got me a can of cranberry sauce.
An opened pack of chocolates! 😦
A personalized sweatshirt that said “Merry Christmas Gwen”
Reindeer venison.
The worst present was a dead goldfish
I don’t recall being unhappy with things I got, except SOCKS! Somebody always gave me socks. NOW I LIKE THEM. I think they pushed me into it!
Well, as a child, socks were the utmost worst thing to receive for Christmas. Compared to all the shiny and brightly colored toys that awaited in the wrapped boxes, a pair of socks just didn’t live up to my childish expectations. Nowadays, though, I love them 🙂
When I was in third grade, I went non-linear when I received a book in our class gift exchange, when I really wanted a toy of some sort. (Today, I’d be quite happy with the book.)
Ewok Villiage… The neighbors stole it from the front porch packages… I love it so much but was sad that some were not as fortunate that same day… a child form of survivors guilt… 🙂 …I still have it… it still rocks
Slippers that a relative knit for me. They were so-o-o-o uncomfortable to walk in.
