7.0 Earthquake in Humboldt County: Are You Prepared?

On Thursday, December 5th, 2024, just off the coast, our little area in the Pacific Northwest (of California), was hit with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, along with hundreds of aftershocks. Many didn’t have a radio of their own, but instead would gather around a business with one or in someone’s car.
