Wait … does ANY music via shortwave count???
Southern Rock!
Oldies–50s & early 60s
My favorite genre of music is ’70’s PROGRESSIVE ROCK…
My favorite musical genre is classic rock, it seems all of my music (almost said albums) are “ The Best of….” someone.
My tastes in Music are eclectic, but I mostly listen to the 60s. I enjoy the rock the and pop of the period, but I also enjoy the ballads that go back to the 50s. I also enjoy the country crossover “Crazy” for example. I grew up listening on the radio in that period, and it remains my favorite.
Classic rock and alternative rock.
My favorite music genre is PROGRESSIVE ROCK, bands like Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, Curved Air, Yes, Focus, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, etc. Hearing a piece of music transports me back in time. I still spend allot of time listening to my Klipschorns and McIntosh MC225, LPs and CDs.
Love that equipment! I’m still listening to my JBL 4310s and Crown SA2.
Converted all my LPs and CDs to 100+ gigs onto my MacBook Pro…
My favorite is classical music, but not when performed at contemporary fast speeds that make it sound as though there is a race to arrive at the end. Played with feeling and drama, as it was meant to be.
My favorite music genre is probably progressive rock of the ’70’s…
My favorite genre is baroque, and perhaps a second would be small a Capella vocal ensembles.
My favorite genres are classical and country!
My favorite music genre is classical—-but does Christmas music count?! 🙂
I like alternative rock!
My favorite genre is country!
Classical!
Classical opera
I grew up with the classic rock of the 70’s, but my favorite genre now is ambient. I listen to Hearts of Space each week on Public Radio, with my CC radio of course. It’s electronic space music, great for relaxation, but they also have a mix of acoustic and world ambient.
I enjoy a little bit of everything…depends on my mood….
Mid to late 60’s blues-rock. Plus a little bit of Jethro Tull, which was originally a blue band that hooked me for a decade.
My favorite music is classic rock and classic country. I don’t hear much coming out new that is good.
My favorite music genre is polka
Folk, Bluegrass and Country, on public radio.
My favorite music is college radio. Alternative music has always been my favorite.
Classic rock and classical depending on mood and situation.
My favorite.is a tie between classical and golden oldies 50′ –70′ pop.
to narrow it down to just one , oldies 50”s – 70’s
Favorite music is top 40!
classic rock and blues
That is a tough one since I think that I like all of the genres save perhaps rap. I suppose if forced to choose, I would say classical music since it has always had a spot in my heart!
My favorites are Southern Gospel, Fiddle Music, Country & Western. I like the sing-along style!
1970’s and early 80’s Top 4o.
Jazz
It’s a toss-up between 70s and 90s but I think I’m going to go with the 90s
The music of my youth … rock and roll of the late 1950’s and the 1960’s
Punk rock lol
blues, jazz, and classic hits.
News/Talk, 60’s rock and roll, and Y2K country
Top 40
My favorite music genre is classical. Gospel music is a close second, especially the songs from the Heavenly Highway Hymnal.
I like 40s & 50s. Cant wear ear bids when wearing hearing aids. :-{
Progressive rock, soft rock
My favorite music is oldies. I love the sixties.
Classic ’60s rock! I grew up both listening to and playing it and it’s still just as good today as it was 40-something years ago!

Frank Sinatra
Ambient music
Well, I grew up in the 1960’s, so I guess rock and roll.
I really enjoy Big Band music, such as Tommy Dorsey, Aritie Shaw, Glen Miller, and some of the older music such as is sung by Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday, Etta James.
