Tokyo from New York. We got there early for a conference in January to celebrate holidays
3,301 miles. In 1972, flew from Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado, to Austin, Texas; got married on Christmas Eve, drove to Columbus, Georgia, to spend New Year’s with family (with a honeymoon stopover in the French Quarter in New Orleans), before flying back to Denver to complete tech school.
I went from TN to Ca for thanksgiving.

My father 86yrs and his new thanksgiving bride 80yrs with myself wheelchair bound left for Key West Florida for Christmas. We got home 5 1/2 months later. An epic journey for us all! Approximately 3,800 mile there. 9,300 round trip. We started the trip in Grants pass, Or.

When I was four years old, mom would load me, the cat and the dog in the back of a Ford Currier pick-up and we would travel from Washington west coast over the mountains to North East Montana to visit Grandma on the farm… listening to mystery drama radio the whole way… quite an adventure and fond memories for a four year old…

1985 Wife an three kids traveled from Guadalajara, Mexico to Quincy, Ca. 2250 miles in 39 hours to spend Christmas with my family.
I was working on the radio at my first job in 1971, doing the overnight shift when my father called me from Disney World, telling me that when I got off the air, to rush to Newark Airport for a certain flight to join the rest of my family in Orlando pronto. I was in Toms River, NJ at the time. So that would be about 1000 miles. Not the most miles you’ll likely hear about, but the most sudden trip that I hadn’t expected. Thanks

The farthest distance I ever traveled at Christmas was 7664 miles as the crow flies, between Beale AFB in California, to Kuwait City, in Kuwait. (I didn’t have much say about having to go, however…)
The second farthest was from Biloxi, MS to Panama City, in the Republic of Panama. (Again, kind of a command performance, for three years.) It was only 1595 miles as the crow flies.
I travel over the whole county with a travel trailer.

I travel 259 miles to spend Christmas with my family.
We travel about 450 miles most years. We live in west central Arkansas and our daughter lives just west of St.Louis Mo. It’s the only time we get to see her and our granddaughter each year. I don’t have a TV but I sure love my C Crane radio.
