I used to get together with my mom and other family members. Since her passing, I really don’t do much on the holidays.
Tonight I will cook for my family and we will opened presents and play games listen to music…maybe watch a Christmas movie. Just being together…..best gift of all..
Church, where we sing for 3 hrs, come home and eat a light but special meal.

We follow an old Slovak Catholic tradition of not eating meat. Instead we have pierogies, pea soup, fruits and breads. Then the family attends Christmas Eve mass and returns home to exchange a few gifts.
Dinner at our best friend’s with an appearance by Santa at about 8 PM…

We have an egg nog and try to watch “Christmas Vacation,” again.
Christmas Eve is spent with my parents. We order Chinese take-out and spend a few hours visiting.
Visiting with family and friends.
We allow one present to be open as a preview for Christmas day.
We open one present on Christmas Eve. And drink hot chocolate.
Following a Germanic tradition, we have our big dinner on Christmas Eve and open presents thereafter.
Simply a casual relaxed evening with my family.
Christmas Eve Mass, then to a special little chapel called St. Barbara’s, then to my sister’s house for dinner.

Christmas Eve traditional Italian no meat until Christmas lunch… Fried Calamari, Bacala’ in bianco (Cod in a white sauce) , Fried Sardines, Octopus with garlic,olive oil and lemon juice & Prosecco wine !!!

good food and some wine with friends. Of course we find a Christmas movie to watch.

The little ones prepare for Santa’s arrival by helping bake cookies. Once they are done we watch a Christmas movie. Then Santa’s snacks are set out for him. The littles are tucked into bed to dream of their gifts.
Our tradition is driving to Gramma’s house, 240 miles away. Then, we spoend Christmas there with the family.
Decorating the Christmas tree and going to midnight Mass.
We spend the day getting the presents ready and then in the evening we take our friends a package for Christmas. the rest of the evening and night would be spent putting presents around the tree and preparing for the next morning with the kids.
Open gifts and candle light service.
Spending it with my family.
Bible reading, old fashioned Christmas carols, a walk outside in the snow with the dogs, prayer and thanksgiving, then early to bed.
Our family gets together to party and open the non-Santa gifts.
When kids were small we would watch the local Christmas parade .now it’s stay home and prepare for the big get together
Christmas Eve is spent with our Son’s family.

To be with friends.
Grandparents come over for brunch of biscuits and gravy and waffles. And every evening we sit down with the kids and watch the Polar Express before they go to bed. It’s the only time we ever watch that movie, only on Christmas Eve.
Quietly, midnight mass, some wine, then to bed.
We have a nice dinner and open our presents and try to watch Christmas Vacation since we never get tired of that movie.
Eat tamales and drink beer..
Going to the casino to dine at the newest restaurant and play the slot machines.
On Christmas Eve, Christmas, New year’s Eve, and New Year’s evening we listen to The Rollye James show on our CCWIFI2 (of course).
