My brother and I go to each others houses on Christmas Eve evening before the kids go to bed, open the front door a crack, belt out a loud “HO HO HO” and throw a handful of goodies into the house and leave behind some sort of note on the porch and of course the little kids think it’s really Santa. We started this tradition with our own kids after my Grandfather told us he used to do it for his younger siblings, now that he’s passed on it’s nice to keep a tradition alive that he started.

December 4, 2014. My memories of the real Christmas trees at our house bring back such awesome feelings. When we were young enough to still believe in Santa Clause ( thinking I still do believe in his magic), my dad would go out late on Christmas eve after we went to bed. He would bring it home and he and mom would decorate it while we slept. Waking up in the moring to the smell of our Christmas pine tree was so wonderful and magical. We would run downstairs and see the tree all lit up with the presents piled up. Those magical memories come rushing back each year when I put up our fresh tree!
making my own EGG NOG. With the real stuff and a little of the special stuff at the end. you know what I mean.!!!
